FD226 – Orlando Vacation Around the Corner

An Orlando Vacation is something most families save their whole lives for.  I live there so I believe most of the tourist stuff is overrate.  Don’t get me wrong, I love living in Florida and it’s that time for me again.

VACATION TIME!  Yeahhhhhhhh!

I know you all are saying, dang, you just got back from wonderful Bali.  Well I waited for about 5 months to go on that vacation.  I still had time saved up.  So off I go again. Actually it was the perfect plan … that I didn’t plan.  I’m missing a lot of winter/snow days.  Oh the joy of it all.  Orlando Vacation here I come!

Bali – Have camera, will get smile.

I actually had this Orlando Vacation trip planned before the Bali trip.  I planned this Orlando Vacation around my Disney 1/2 marathon debut.  Although my training has really tanked, I still plan on going out there and having a ball. What the hay.  You walk or run 13.1 miles, it is still the same in the end.  

Tavel papers are in order.

Before I leave I just need to tie up some loss travel ends.  I got my tickets already.  I did that  months ago.  It is damn expensive to purchase tickets from way over here at the last minute.  I don’t want to be caught in that trap.

All my old friends and current friends know I will be coming.  Don’t worry you will get to meet them all.    Remember, have camera will blog.    I like that.

The problem that I’m having is getting hotel reservations in Dubai.  January must be busy season cause the hotel rooms are off the chain expensive.  My plan…..no hotel when I fly out of Afghanistan.  I’m going to find a way to lock my bag up and head for to the Hard Rock Cafe there.  Yeap they have one.  Dubai has everything. Unfortunately when I come back from my Orlando Vacation I must have a hotel room.  So I’m working on that one.

I plan on hanging there at the Hard Rock all day.  I will just freshen up in some public restroom.  I know…that sounds real appealing doesn’t it?   Been there, done that, no big deal.  You know US public bathrooms are a joy after being in the crazy war torn countries.

Dubai public bathrooms are not so bad.  But Afghanistan…All I am saying is hold whatever you got to do until you get to a real country.  That’s no joke.  Then I will head off across the big pond.  I love going that way. Heading back, not so much.  :)

So this is my warning for you….I will be posting heavily on the positive aspects of traveling on my Orlando Vacation for about a month.  Since I will be back in the good ole USA, I can also post videos on YouTube.  I’m so excited.  It’s the little things that make me happy.
