Let me just say, I am still writing off line, but the point is, I am still writing. I promised myself that I would not get off track with this self help project. I am finding this endeavor to be very exciting to say the least. There is so much to say and so little time to say it in.
Bear with me on my ranting folks. I am still getting my organization on with this thing. I am still writing off line unfortunately. We should be on track soon. I wanted to talk about sprouting today. I just started a new batch and I thought it would great to discuss sprouting today.
First let me say how I got started. As I have already said it is there ain’t much to do around here. Let me tell you there is nothing but rocks and sand, sand and more sand. So gardening is out. I learned that one of coworkers, Sharon, was sprouting edible seeds in here living space. She showed me what she did, which by the way was super simple. I was hooked.
I actually have been taking pictures daily so I will post them for you. They grow super fast and they taste delicious. This would great to do with the kids or grand kids. You know children love fast results and you will see the seeds sprout almost immediately. Who has not had Alf Alfa sprouts on a salad? Raise your hand. They are tasty and add something different to your pallet. I love them.
OK, basically I purchased a growing tray (which is my favorites online store) or you can use a really big jar and add water twice a day. It is more like rinse twice a day. That is it. Who could not do that? They taste great and are not bad for you. Once the grow about 2 to 3 inches and are green, they are ready to eat. I a couple of days you will have more sprouts than you know what to do with.
I also started back with my resistance band workout. I am using the 10lb resistance band and boy can I feel it. I actually sweat when I use them. It provides a good workout. I have a couple of exercises that I like to do: Bicep curls, Shoulder press, Side and Front lifts. Then I add some squats and lungs. The lungs are the killers for me. I do them because I need to, not because I want to. Any who, I am usually sweating pretty heavy when I do just those few of those exercises. I also did 30min on the elliptical. That is one of my favorites. It is like running.
